1. When should I start investing in branding?
Answer: If you are 100% serious about making your business work + 100% passionate, I'd recommend investing in branding ASAP! It's so much easier to establish your business at the beginning + will actually end up costing you less in the long-term because you'll invest in business supplies that WILL LAST! For example, I've had clients who buy pre-designed business cards online, but end up rebranding with me and end up needing to repurchase new ones from me that match their new branding.
2. Why does branding/web design cost so much?
Answer: These are two of the most IMPORTANT investments you'll make in your business, honest. GOOD branding + web design will serve you all throughout and will likely not be replaced for YEARS and YEARS. So, branding + web design may seem costly based on the price tag, but compared to other recurring business expenses, it's really not. Not to mention, design work is quite difficult and much more time consuming than many think. One project can take me 4-12 weeks! I promise that when I price my packages, I have BOTH of our interests in mind. I know my work will bring your business more value!
3. But, can't I just pick out my own logo on Canva.com?
Answer: Technically, yea. Do I recommend it? NO. When you select a logo for your business on Canva, there's really no way to be sure that you're the one one using it. Realistically, there are probably hundreds or thousands of businesses using that same logo. This may not seem like a big deal, especially in the beginning, but you NEED to be able to STAND OUT from competition + legally OWN your logo. To learn more check out this blog!
